[Admin note - Steve, you need to turn off your "V-card" when posting
to GMCnet. If you don't, the resulting "multi-part" email bounces

Jim,
Take the distributer to any shop in your area that has the capability
to "recurve" your replacement distributer. If you have the stock 3.07
gears in your money pit, tell them you want "everything in" at 25-2,700
RPM. Have them install an adjustable style vacuum advance can for future
fine tuning. The going rate around here that good speed shops for this
service is approx. $100 + parts. It's worth every penny too. Note: If
you're using an older points type distributer note that Summit Racing
has a new style cap that utilizes female HEI type plug wires, much
better way of fastening plug wires.

Steve, How much is "everything in?"
I have an electronic/magnetic Mallory advance set up that lets
your curve via switches. When should advance begin (RPM) and how far should
it go on a 1973 455? This distributor has no vacuum advance, only
electronic. Do you know?
