I've noticed that GMCnet traffic has increased to the point that the
digest is hitting the maximum size before it reaches 24 hours. If this
is a problem for any of you digest subscribers, please let me know. I
can increase the maximum size of the digest to reduce the frequency
some. Also, please remember - TRIM YOUR QUOTES! I just posted the
October archives and there is still way too much quoted material on
replies. One post contained the Juno tag line quoted three times. Take
an extra 15 seconds to review before you send.

Thanks!

Scott,

Most emails programs automatically quote the message you're replying to
when you select "reply"(As you see above, I've set Netscape to quote
your email address and put little ">"s in front of your message). In a
forum like this, the message size grows dramatically with each
successive reply. It's good nettiquette to "trim"(or delete) those
sections that don't add any content to your reply. If someone posts a
dissertation on wheel bearing replacement and you have something to say
about his choice of grease, all you need to quote is the part about the
grease.

Clear as mud? If so, just let me know and I'll try again.

Thanks!
