I'm sorry to report that Dave Greenberg, well known GMCer, passed away last night. Dave had two different GMCs and put over half a million miles on them. He was the originator of the GMC Motorhome Registry. He will be sorely missed.
🙁

Yes, according to his son, David, he had Parkinson's and was not doing well for the last couple of years. David brought his dad to a GMCSJ rally, in Bisbee,AZ, a few years ago, and we got to visit with him. It's sad to lose another legendary GMCer like Dave, but we can be thankful for his contribution to the community with the registry.

Sorry to hear of Dave's passing, we had a wonderful time sorting thru the GMC MH mysteries back in the 80s & 90s when there were so many unknowns about the great GMC Motorhome. I was sorting thru GMC history and Dave was collecting TZE numbers. Our collaboration was fun, intriguing and always satisfying when discovering an unknown aspect of the GMC Motorhome story.

The two early GMC MH owners in Dutchess County NY were Dave & Bernie Seifert (a GMC Vintage RVing article on Bernie buying an early 1973 GMC was in the magazine a few months ago). I believe knowing Dave and his interest in the GMC MH increased MY interest in GMC MH history (knowing there was at least one other person interested).

This was a great period, times change and we all move on. Thanks Dave for your friendship, knowledge and the foresight to record TZEs long ago.

Greetings, this is Lucy Weidner, President of GMCMI. The GMC family extends heartfelt sympathy to David Greenberg's family on his passing. He was a wonderful supporter of GMC's and was always willing to lend a hand or share his thoughts. We wish the Greenberg family peace.

Dave had one of his GMC's at Table Rock Lake. I owned a 49 passenger sailing catamaran and any GMC'er rode for free. Dave was a great guy, very helpful to me, a rank amateur back then.
