Yes Marlene - some of the tv sets work better on ac vs dc, so if you have an
inverter it might work better, especially the vcr.

Yes we do have a small inverter but just wanted to check in case we needed
to use the lighter outlet at some time. Just wanted to be safe and cover all
bases. I have a habit of worring about everything.

Marlene,
The GMC is a negative ground 13.2 volt electrical system. The TV will work
fine on that voltage from your cigarette lighter plug.
