It makes a difference what type of boots you have and the type of clamps.
What do you have? Super boots are normally blue.

I have new super boots for my coach but have not installed them yet. I have
a mechanic friend that regularly installs them and says they will come off
if the clamps are installed that comes with the kit. He told me he will
install them with another type of clamp that will not come off, requiring a
torque wrench.

Has anyone else installed super boots?

Lanier,
I ground off the lower ball joint bolt as described in GMC Maintenance Manual
X-7525A Section 3A-17 under installation & shown inFigure 29. Got the outer C-V
Boot & knuckle back on today. I have yet to test drive it, but may do so after
work tomorrow. Co-pilot had pancakes for b'fast so was able to lift knuckle
o.k.!!!
