To Gary ,Chuck, Richard and others-

I didn't mention manufacturer as I haven't had a chance to really give
the unit a full workout and know for certain to my satisfaction that the
unit works like I want it to. How ever it has been installed by others,
who are very pleased with it, and in fact I arranged to purchase mine
through Duane S.

Speed is sensed through a pulse generator , which connects to the
speedometer cables from the tranny. Insted of their going to the
transducer they go through a small generator. The electrical pulse is
then interpreted by a control box mounted just to the left of the engine
cover. One cuts the end of the turn signal off and installs a new end
with the typical settings -Off, On, Resume/Accel and Set/Coast. The
onlything that shows that it is not an original custom installation is
that there is a very small set of wires that run down the steering
column.

The name of the company is Rostra and their web is
After I have fully tested my unit out I'll be more inclined to mention
the actual part #'s, but of course anyone can get them direct from the
company.
Hope this answers the questions.

Claude in Victoria, where it is raining today and we actually turned on
the heat pump to get some heat- I can't believe it- -the heat on in the
middle of summer!!!.

Claude--
Please let me know how the unit works once you get it installed. The Rostra
pages are interesting but not very informative and have "no information
available" when GMC or Olds '77 is entered into the query.
