Did someone on this list post a link to a website that had
a jeep air/condioner pump converted into an airpump? I have
an airtank, now either need to fix my stock air compressor or
build something better.
TIA,

P.S.
My airtank is a 15lb tank from a product called sta-put. Its a spray
glue for laminates. Probably around a $100.00 full tank...plus deposit of
$30.00 I got mine from a local cabinet maker. Just paid the deposit
for the tank. I will need to weld threaded nuts for air fittings.

Rob,
I am using a 25# Freon cylinder as my air tank when I put my new air
compressor system together. The Link for the site that has the jeep air
compressor is
http://offroad-net.com/jeep/tech/body/york/. I have plans from popular
mechanics that I got many years ago that use the same type of compressor
to build and air compressor for your shop, but the compressor would work
just fine for the gmc. I know that several of the GMC GreatLakers have
installed this type of unit, but I am not sure who. They are on the net
and maybe they will respond.
