So on my 403 i removed the nut on the end of the bolt your talking about, removed the support bracket that goes from the block to the outside right
rear corner of the compressor and maybe one more from the rear bracket to the intake manifold?
Ill have a look in the morning just to be sure....i did think i was going to have to take the whole compressor out but in the end i didnt even have to
adjust the belt.
