Thanks to all you folks who wrote about making the coach door close
properly.
I messed around with the latch post too many times.
Finally saw the posts about opening the door latch mechanism and cleaning
it.
Hands don't work reliably anymore, so I just took out the easy part, and
dosed it with my 30 year old can of Mouse-Out.
If you never heard about Mouse-Out, don't worry about it. The can says
"gets rid of the squeaks", but the Feds said there was no proof or even
research in mouse prevention or deterrence. They made the company change
the name, and I don't know what the new one is. All I know is that it is
a thick pinkish lube in an aerosol can that is a really good lubricant.
It sort of squirts on, and works like a grease.
