Gents does anyone have one of these? Are you happy with what/how it works? Anyone in Canada have one?

The knuckles/bearings were done on my coach 9,000 miles ago and i dont want to tear them apart just to put newer grease in them [grease is probably 10
years old and i dont know what was used] and this seems like a good way to accomplish that.

Yes i know JimK sells the tool and it's not that expensive but tack on 40 cents more to the dollar exchange plus another 40$ US for shipping .....79$
US turns into 160$ plus duty at my end.....i'd rather pay shipping 2 ways in Canada if it works and someone has one to lend me.....if it works well
i'll pick one up next time i'm in California from Jim directly.

I'm having trouble answering. Hope this one gets thru !!

I have the tool for drilling the knuckle to install a grease fitting if that's what you're looking for.

I'm a whole 50 kms away in Ivy Lea.

As you can see Rich, the hub and knuckle has to be disassembled. Also the bearing spacer should have six or eight holes drilled in it and a joining
valley ground to link the holes together. I did it eight years ago so my description of the sparer modification may need help from someone who has
photos.

Rich,

IMHO you're just asking for trouble by attempting to regrease front wheel
bearings with only 9000 miles since they were last done. Using the subject
tool, you need to be SURE that the area ALL the way around the back of the
knuckle at the grease seal is PERFECTLY clean before loosening the axle
nut. You also need to be sure that after you get the axle loose and slid
out enough to install the tool that you don't allow ANY particle of
abrasive to fall on that exposed axle. If you get even one particle into
the grease and deposited in the bearings, it MAY destroy the bearing.

IMHO, even 25,000 miles is too soon for re-greasing if there's no sign of a
problem; 50,000 maybe. But I must admit, that I'm NOT a fan of the subject
tool, for the reasons above.

I really have no desire to take these apart having such low mileage on basically new components [although a few years old] so guess we will run them
as is till i hit a higher mileage number as i have other fish to fry.
