Canyon lands

Larry,
You may have a tough time finding a rear table. Those were available and I believe that they were the same in a 23 as the 26, but they were not common in 73s as nearly as I have been able to tell.
You are new here, and I have two things for you. Be aware that this is a crowd of supportive and helping people that may come on kind of stronger that you expect. This is simply because they are interested to see that you get to enjoy your coach and what it can do for you as we all know. To this end, do both yourself and us a favor and fill in a sigfile with your real name (it looks like you have), a short about the coach including major mods and a geographic reference so a member will know if you are in his striking range. Do not be surprised if a member shows up with experience and tools to help you. We have some great stories about that in the group.
Lastly, as this community reminds me so much with their helpfulness of my own world of watermen, I like to welcome each new member that I can much as you would be welcomed there. So,

May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that they may go forth within her.
Welcome Larry

FWIW, Larry is legit. He's a strong member of the CO GMC community (currently helping out Emry Stora's widow), and spends a lot of time helping us out. He's got 7 rigs parked on his land (several waiting to be worked on for others), and the one in his shop got an engine swap and is being restored for a guy in Australia (who attended one of our camping get togethers). We have been talking about how to fabricate replacement frames (rear chassis) and also how to engineer a front airbag system.

I am really happy to see Larry here, as I am sure he will be a great addition to this forum.

I haven't looked up what is specific about the '73 Canyonlands rear table, but I'm betting it's something we can build in our wood shop. Looking forward to gathering details to see what we can do if those are hard to find and need to be built from scratch.

Thank you for the welcome and the direction on up dating my info. I have been a member but not active. It was recomended by another member to be more active because of the reach and knowlage of the forum. been a proud owner of a 1976 palm beach for 5 years. within the 5 years i learned alot and have acquired 2 more for restoraton. 1973 painted desert with the buddy seat dual dinette and a goucho in the back. Really havent seen to many with the dual dinette. 74 canyon lands side bath missing some stuff but not alot. Trying to go with an all original theamed interior hence looking for the original cushion covers and tabel. I might have one made from kidjedi. Thanks again for the info.

Is this the same as yours (I know it's the same fabric and color, but asking about the pieces that make up the lounge)? I'm looking for a pic of the table you are talking about and how it fastens, but coming up short.

Yes it is. The table seems to be pole mounted.

I have a pole mounted table somewhere in my collection of stuff, and it looks original to something. Do you have a picture of what you're looking for? IIRC it came with my Glenbrook, but that coach had been heavily modified.

I hadn't yet made up my mind whether I would try using it somewhere permanently. I'm on the hunt for a regular front dinette table, so if I found one of those I really wouldn't need the pole mounted one.

Im having trouble finding pictures of the original set up with the table. Atleast a good up close picture.

This isn't a close-up but confirms a rear dinette table with folding leafs was optional. Page 11, 1978 brochure.

Here's an earlier 23 foot floor plan with "Fold-Up Table" in back:

Paul, I have a couple of the tables that have the folding wings with cup holders. Yours for shipping. Edges would need to be refinished.

January 1973 GMC dealer documentation lists "ENK - Table - Rear Dining" as a $50 option. Available with floor plans 23-3 BQV, 23-4 BQW, 26-3BQK, 26-3BQN, 26-9 BQQ, 26-10 BQR, 26-11 BQS.

Bdub's GMC Motorhome Photo Archive shows a rear dinette in a '76 Palm Beach, and the underside of a rear dinette in a 73 Canyon Lands. Based on drawings and brochures it looks like early dinettes were one-piece and later models had fold-out leafs.1729172814079.png

It would be the 23-3 with optional table due to the holes in the rear floor for the pole mount. the pictures and the information are appriciated. Thank you for you help with identifing the options. Now sourcing the cushions with the original pattern is going to be difficult. The table looks to be easily remade with the help of kidjedi.
