Can you put collector plates on a GMC in Minnesota?

I tried but the licensing center told me RV's could not get collector plates in Minnesota.
I think some people may have got them by not mentioning that it's a RV, the title typically just call it a GMC 260.

MN does not allow collector plates on vehicles registered by weight.
So you need to somehow get it registered as a car not a truck.
