Well, today was what we have always known as "THE LORD'S DAY, and a day for
rest and recuperation". That being said, all this isolation has been very
hard on this Old Man that is basically a very social person.
So, that being said, we thought a recon mission was the order of the
day. Yesterday, Judy and I went shopping for some sandwich fixin's. Good
old standby, Balona and Meunster cheese for me, smoked turkey breast and
swiss for Judy. Sliced sweet apples, and Frito-Lay snack chips, some
wrapped Hershey's chocolate mini- bars. And some fresh baked rustic chewy
French bread rounded up the picnic basket. Some ice water for these 90+
degree days refreshment, and we were ready to go.
This morning, we set out for the Oregon Coast to find a suitable,
G.M.C worthy private campground near the Ocean. Wound up at the mouth of
the Siletz River where it meets the Pacific. A small privately owned RV
park, across the Siletz river sits "The Movie House" built for the filming
of Sometimes a Great Notion, a Henry Fonda flick. Great park, private
wooded spaces, some on the river bank, rental outboard powered skiffs,
launch ramp, docks. EZ in and out. From home and return, 200 plus miles.
Great day in the field. Coyote Rock campground is the name. Back home, 91°,
same old, same old. Hope you guys are all well .

Thank you Sir, nothing like good news on a Monday morning. I started ours up, backed it out of the barn and sit in it running with dash air on. Sit
there till it was cool and said a prayer for my less fortunate GMC friends. Pulled it back in and got back to the house.

Yup, we did much the same.....small road trip to one of the lesser know Historic sites to enjoy lunch by the St-Laurence river among the cool breeze
and the birds. Only small hick-up was a tiny pinhole in a tranny cooler line [rub through from the PO install] which i was able to fix with a
compression fitting in a local parking lot. [better than on our big trip in 2 weeks...lol].

I've been luckier than most and have been working from home...cabin fever yes but time to be bored....nope
