  • For registered users, a Google custom search option has been added that will search across several dedicated GMC Motorhome sites including this forum, GMCMI.com, and bdub.net. To use it, either click the "G" icon at the bottom of the search dialog or select the "Google search" tab in the search results. This new feature is also useful when your search includes words that are shorter than the 4 letter minimum supported by the forum's built-in search engine.

We built 3 systems, and 1 has already been TESTED and CURRENTLY INSTALLED on an enthusiast's coach, who happens to be a member of the GMC Motorhomes International Club.

These are Extremely nice, & are the most correct to Factory, extremely high quality -Made in the USA.
Here are the details:
Exhaust System for 26' GMC TZE Motorhome 455 FWD - OE FACTORY REPLACEMENT EXHAUST SYSTEM for 1973 thru early 1977 (Jan 1977) includes 2 mufflers. This exhaust system was developed for the bone stock purist. 2.25” up front and 2.5” Y and back. Dual wall aluminized mufflers. Very quiet up front and nice tone out the back. The Y transition is even nicer than factory. Even the Tail pipe exit is exactly like factory original.
This is available for pick at Highway Stars in Waukegan, Illinois
pH: 847-599-1600. $1198
YES- PICK UP ONLY in ILLINOIS -The one pipe is so long, with damages we have seen occur at the shipping companies, we don't want to sacrifice or jeopardize the high quality, all the work and development that went into this, by mishandling of shippers. Thanks for your understanding. We do it right, OR we don't do it!

IIRC, the single pipe after the Y could easily be 3". Is there a reason why you used 2.5"?

The area of the 2.25 pipes is about 8 in^2 total, the area of a 2.5" pipe is only 4.9 in^2. The area of a 3" pipe is 7.1 in^2

Seems like the 2.5 inch pipe would be restrictive vs a 3" pipe
