I bought a long parked GMC and I am a newbie to GMCs. I have only read about five months of posts so I still have a lot to learn. I have not read a
lot about windows. I am missing a couple of window latches. Bob from Cedar Rapids wondered if they are the same from 73 thru 78. I am wondering the
best source for them. They don't show up when I do a "window" search on Allied. I am also in need of a window. A PO installed a plexiglas
replacement which is functional but deteriorating. My first project is going to be the ONAN. Mine shows 317 hrs. Not much use since 1973 and I am
sure it has been neglected. But I would like to be able to secure the windows in a timely manner. Thanks for sharing the information available
here.

On the windows you need to tell us exactly what window you need and the coach length. I am assuming that it is a 26 footer. I believe that you said
it is a 73.

cut a dowel rod to lay at the bottom of the window channel when the window
is shut.

Ken

You are correct it is a 26 foot 1973 vintage maybe canyonland but I do not know. If there is way to find out it would be nice to know. The window I
am in need of is the sliding portion of the rear most window on the passenger side. I also need two window latches however I would buy more to be sure
I will never need another. It is my experience that what ever you think you will need and buy extra you never need them HOWEVER I am not thinking
that I would buy another GMC just yet. I think I will play with this one for a spell. Thanks for the response.

I might have the window that you ned. It came from a GMCer that passed away two years ago (Dan Gregg). The problem is I am leaving town for about 10
or 11 days. So see what happens here with other posters and send me a Private Message on around Sept 29 and I'll see if I have what you want stored
away.

Melbo,
Not all items that Jim has are listed. Give Jim a call. He has the
latches.

Melbo,

Welcome to the group, family, cult, asylum.... (but if you did a bus conversion, you are already there)

One of the first things you should know is that 73s are different in many places and what you want may not be in the widely distributed manual, the
correct manual can be downloaded at B'dub's.

Please do both yourself and us a favor and finish your sigfile. There are very good reasons to do this. Include your real name so that when you meet
other owners, they will know who you are. The a short bit about the coach. This way you won't have to keep writing that it is a 73 26 (model) will
not matter much. There were only four in 73 and that mostly indicates the color scheme. But, those that read this as email don't get to see the
header that has your location.

This is all real important because this is a community of helping and supportive people like you may never know before. The amount of support from
people with multi-millions of miles and decade of experience is awesome in the true sense of the word. The only other community I know of that is at
all like this is that of the watermen that are my world. For that reason, I have take to welcoming new owners here much as a new owner or vessel is
welcomed there. So,

May the Good Lord bless this coach and all those that set forth within her.

Welcome Melbo
