The perfect rubber isolator can be found at a tire recapping facility.
You can purchase the un-cured rubber that they use to make the treads
for recaped tires. This stuff can be cut into squares to the exact size
that you require. Put some on my 78 kingsley 10 years ago and it is
still there and looks great. Use a small amount of 3-M Yellow Trim
Adhesive on the frame contact side of the isolator. That's my two cents
worth.
