Hello all,

Still considering screen door alternatives, and the Lowes retractable door in these pictures does look really neat. Does anyone know who the Jared in
this post is? I would like to get in touch with him and find out how much customization (tpo the Lowes door....and to the coach) is required to get
this to work. At $160, the price is certainly right.....

Thanks

The "Jared" here would be me. I had the work done by one of my customers who happens to do interior millwork (conference rooms etc).

I can get you some close up pictures with how it was installed and set up. We really do like it.

Thanks,

Hi Jared,

I would also be interested in looking at your photo's re: screen door, or sliding type.

Thanks, in advance,

We have retractable screen doors at the front and patio doors on our house. We HAVE walked into them when they were deployed, but so far no permanent damage has occurred. We have had them for 5 or 6 years, IIRC. No pets or kids, though!

It also doesn't stop the driver who forgot that he closed the screen door and walks right into it.

Jared,

Thanks for answering. I would definitely be interested in pictures if it wouldn't be too much trouble. On closer look at the pictures already posted.
I worry that it may not be a workable solution for me. My coach is a 23" so the door is up front - when you enter there is no dinette or cabinet to
the right. The kitchen counter and sink is to the left, but even if I managed to build in the cassette on the left side, I am not sure what kind of a
structure I would need on the right side to receive the screen and make everything mosquito tight.

Thanks

I have the Alex Birch Door, found it on Ebay. Absolutely love it. Everyone said they were a bear to adjust, I had no problem at all, you just can't
be afraid to twist it or to bend things. Fits and operates perfect.
