Hi Mark,

This could be the coach. It was actually owned by Executive Express out
of Birmingham who had a contract with Southern Bell to shuttle execs
between Atlanta and Birmingham.

They ran 3 coaches for about 7 or 8 years but I understand one of them
may have spent more time in ATL running people to the airport and between
offices.

I have located one other of the coaches so far. It is a white Palm Beach
and is owned by Fred Ely who is a Heritage Cruiser club member from
upstate NY.

It would be interesting if you had been in my old coach! Mine, from the
photos I have, was kept pretty much intact as with the plaid Palm Beach
interior. Several coffee urns were set up on the kitchen counter but
basically the interior was origina. The coaches carried an Exec Express
logo on the sides.

To tell you the truth, I don't remember the coach that well.

Just regarding GMC's in general, I remember seeing my first one in '73,
thinking it looked pretty cool, then kinda forgetting about them. I really
didn't know much about them other than they were FWD until I bought one.
(The education of the heathen owner has been an ongoing adventure).

I took the shuttle from Birmingham to ATL in '85 IIRC, I'd been at a meeting
with Bell South and my flight got cancelled out of Birmingham. At the time,
I didn't think much about it, but I do remember that it had the Bell Logo on
it and it rode great.

They dropped me off near Hartsfield, and I took a cab to the terminal. It
was raining cats and dogs; I do remember that, and the meeting hadn't gone
so well either. I was working on a small company task force to change the
way revenues were distributed between phone companies. Bell South had a lot
of our money at the time. It took years to fix that problem.
