OK. So you didn't like my idea for a manual heater & A/C control panel (2
cable pulls & 4 or 5 vacuum switches and a fan switch). I'll get over it
.
Here's another that we're seriously considering. Since we never use the
tiny shower in our '76 Royale 26' rear bath (sponge baths & campground
facilities have proven perfectly adequate), we're about to remove the
"tub/shower", and remodel the bath. The 2 principle changes will be to
widen the doorway for better access, and move the toilet to the space
formerly occupied by the shower (passenger side, or left as you face the
bathroom).
I anticipate needing to elevate the toilet a couple more inches and
fabricate some PVC to connect to the tank, and plan to change the head on
the hand held shower and keep it to help with dumping. Also we'll build a
cabinet in the corner above the counter top to replace the one we'll lose
by widening the doorway. Any potential problems? (No Right Gard jokes,
please).
Second issue: I'm about to service the wheel bearings for the first time
(since we've owned it), and don't want to make a mistake. I plan to put in
a set of bearings from Cinnabar (.0095" axial clearance), use Toma's tools,
and lube with Mobil 1. If this is NOT the way to go, will somebody please
let me know.
