Bath fan

I have a 1974 Glacier that does not have a power fan in the wet bath. The
push up vent is there but no electric. I am putting in a power vent. Any
suggestions on how to wire that up? I can easily connect it to the rear
light but then the light has to be on for the vent to be on. Not sure that
is a problem.

Any other thoughts?

Some of you are still on this site as I got great response from my last
question. Thank you for that.

That light would not have to be on to get power to the vent. There is a “hot” going to one side of the light switch. Just connect the fan to that.

Hey Dean:

I’m fairly certain that when you remove the escutcheon around the push up housing, that you’ll find a blue wire with +12 volts on it.

Typically, the ground was a zip screw to one of the aluminum spars of the roof.

Check LIVING AREA ELECTRICAL 24B- 3 in the X-7525 manual. Bath Vent Fan.
