I am in need of replacing my upper and lower ball joints from what I can

see.

These are removed and installed the same as the trucks you worked on.
The trick here is to drill them out without enlarging the mounting
holes. This means either using a smaller drill that the rivet body or
grinding off the heads of the rivets and tapping out the remains with a
punch. Enlarging the holes leads to problems down the road. There's so
much weight on those joints that fitment is an issue. If you do enlarge
the holes, go to the next size grade 8 mounting bolt and use a good
threadlock on the threads. Get the correct part numbers from Gene's
page, '73 Toro lowers are smaller. Nuts go on the inside!
If you decide to pull them and take them to a shop you might as well
replace the bushings too.
