I believe that another problem presents itself when one trues a new tire. If
one ever gets a tire puncture or other problem where the tire has to be
demounted the truing process needs to be done again. That can get costly.
Tom: wouldn't you just mark the position of the tire on the wheel and put it back in that position when fixed?
I believe a good tire man can match balance the tire and come up with a very
smooth tire with no loss of rubber.
