I am going through and pulling everything on my roof trying to hunt down any holes and sealing up leaks.
As you can see there's been plenty of holes drilled into this old rig. (that's just one location like it)
I think a blind guy install this awning and also never hit the metal frame. I sealed this area with 3m marine epoxy since this picture and would like to drill and remount this awning arm.
I'm going to try and get some metal but that will most likely only be 2 out of 4 screws in the frame. Is it ok to use 1/4 20 jack nuts in the fiberglass? Or will stress the fiberglass to much. I know everything is mounted with rivits or jacknuts but seeing as it's a high stress item (awning) I'm a little concerned.
