Thanks to those of you who replied to my query on awning recommendations. I had two or three who liked the A & E awnings both for sturdiness and price. One recommendation for Carefree of Colorado (no problems) and one for the Zip Dee (can't beat). It seems that the Zip Dee is hard to access for set up & take down, but is high quality & price (18'=$1,100+). The A & E 8500 sells for around $600 for the 18' vinyl fabric. If I don't hear of any good arguments to the contrary, I will go with the A & E 8500.
