I believe it is essential to have the aux vacuum pump. I was running up
a hill and the engine stalled. I panicked and put on the brakes. I had
one brake pedal push when I realized I had no brakes. I put the
emergency brake on - and it was a miracle it stopped. put in park and
prayed. Got it stalled on the middle lane of a hill, a blind hill and
it waited about 15 minutes and started. I bought the aux pump and I now
have enough vacuum to use for braking in the event it ever happens.=20
Don't leave home without one.
What exactly is an auxiliary vacuum pump, how difficult is it to =
install, and where does it get it's vacuum from when the engine isn't =
running. Also, if I may make a suggestion, when the thread in the =
subject changes like it did here, it seems to me that it makes more =
sense that we change the subject description to something more =
appropriate.
On an unrelated subject, when I sent mail to the mailing list using my =
Internet Explorer/Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Word, the message =
doesn't appear with proper end of line carriage returns when viewed in =
Netscape. It's OK when I view it in Explorer. Does anyone know how to =
correct this problem?
