Arch having too much fun

seen no adverse affects from blocking them
off. Even when it was in the low 40s in MI. I did
put on an electric choke.

Long hills............secondaries.............howling real
good...............

Sounds like your having fun...........keep it up................
but what you are describing sounds to me like it might
be loss of fuel pressure when you have too much fun
for too long.

Don't you have an electric fuel pump hooked to a
primer button?

If so easy to find out if loss of fuel pressure is the problem.

I suspect that if on the next long pull you hold that button
down you won't have those 2 surges

nope, the point is , I am not sure why folks just don't let the electric
pumps run all the time like all the cars do now...... does not cost
anything and you do not have to remember to turn it on when you have a
vapor lock or need more gas on a long pull. ?????

I feel the same way about the vacuum booster pumps, they are made to
control them selves and have power to them all the time. Why put them on a
switch you have to remember to turn on.

Might just be I suffer from toooooo many Senior moments, but I have a hard
time remembering to push all these switches and I want everything to run by
its' self.....;>)

There are a few of us who like to pretend we're flying an airplane. We want
lots of buttons, switches, gages and indicators. You should see all the neat
toys that Arch has in his coach. I say the more things to fiddle with and look
at while you're driving a GMC the better. Otherwise it can get boring ;^)

I'll have to admit that even I would be overwhelmed with that amount of buttons,
switches, gages and indicators.

I'll settle for half the stuff that Manny has.

Gene obviously was under some kind of influence last night while on the
couch.{:>) He did make some pretty down to earth points though. I got to
thinking about all those improvements I feel need to be done, and, heck, I
don't even have a coach, yet!!!! Reckon those GM engineers really did have
more sense than I? So, for the beginning, WHEN I do get my coach, it will
be put back to specs of GMC, and only updated safety items will come before
that. I'm not a purist, but I do believe they had the best that they could
get when they built these ladies. Look at their results, now 25 years
later. People are dying to get their hands on one, even those which don't
run or come from junk yards.

Rather than put him out in the big water, let's just keep it to a kick in
the butt now and then.

That's what we all need. Toys that pay for themselves!

I should have installed a search light like yours last Summer when I had the
headliner down. I'd do it now, but I really don't want to take the headliner
down again just so that I can install a light. I wonder how hard it would be to
get a light up there without taking the headliner down.
