Having a difficult time finding information specific to a 1975 Royale 26' by Coachmen.

I don't see it listed here... http://www.gmcmi.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/GMCMH-Model-Floor-Plans.pdf

Or here... http://www.bdub.net/publications/

On the GM Heritage site... https://history.gmheritagecenter.com/wiki/index.php/The_GMC_MotorHome, "Many companies were up fitting the new TransMode as
both motorhomes and for commercial applications. Some of the motorhome upfitters were Avion, Coachmen, Carriage, LRP, Midas, Norris, Hughes, Landau,
Roll-a-long, El Dorado, Foretravel, Winnebago, plus a few others with very low build quantities."... There is mention of the various upfitters and
Coachmen is listed, however, I'd like to find additional information if I can.

I will be picking up my coach this week and would like to understand specifics regarding wiring, plumbing and other details in anticipation of my
interior renovation.

As always any input is welcomed and appreciated.

Regards,
Mike

I kinda do
The coach was built in '75, but titled in '76.
Then redone in 2002

So it's an ex- Royale

Thanks Keith, can you tell me if there is a way to confirm build or manufacture date?

Why ex-Royale, because of the re-do it's no longer original from when it left the up fitter?

I have also requested information from the registry as it pertains to numbers of Coachmen Royale's built in 75.

Any additional details are welcome,
Thanks,
Mike

On the inside of the glove box door, there should be a GM sticker with the list of installed items on the GM assembly process. It also has a build
date on it. This information is only for the Transmode as delivered to the upfitter.
Good luck on your quest. Being 40years old, no telling what any previous owner did or did not do.

Thanks Tom,

I had a look at a photo I took of the data label from the glove box, at first I didn't notice it as a build date as it is a set of numbers (052275)
without a heading or title. This series would then make sense as the build date, May 22, 1975 unless buy pure coincidence it represents something
else?

When did the new models, Transmode units included, get released, was it during a specific month or random throughout the year?

Mike

I have two stickers on my coach, one in the glove box and one on the drivers side 'door' panel
The glove box one says 1975, the door panel one says 1976 :)

It's Ex-Royale since it's been completely redone, new cabinets new kitchen, new furniture, new appliances, new paint. Not much left that original, I think the bathroom shell is original :)

Thanks again Keith, I did hear back from John at the Registry and the numbers appear quite low.

Of the 425 Transmodes delivered in 1975 there isn't a concrete number of Royale's built by. Coachmen?

From John at the Registry there are three registered 26' Royale's built in 1975 and as many as 16 that are questionable.

Still hoping to gather more information regarding the original wiring and plumbing specific to the 26' Royale built in 1975.

Any input is appreciated,
Mike
