I just ordered the Caspro Electronic Knock Eliminator (EKE) to add to "The
Sweat Lodge". Does the sensor have to mount to the block (as others have) or
can it be mounted to the intake manifold easier? Would it make any
difference as far as picking up the signal. I would suppose the ping is
pretty much transmitted throughout the engine and the sensor will detect it
anywhere.
Does the control box have to mount by the distributor (or close by)?
Have you varied the switches much and what did you find worked the best for
your setup (std. carb)?
Any wiring mods needed or does it plug right into the distributor?
Also what's a good degree of advance to set the timing to once it's
installed?
I haven't seen the instruction manual yet so I'm just wondering outloud if
anyone has gone or had to go about it differently than by the book. Might
save alot of headaches. Any input would be appreciated.
