Unfortunately, my future GMC Co-Pilot had to be put to sleep this morning.
She was in her seat in my pick up, a seat only she has ever occupied. It
was her favorite place.

Don't know what got the group started on the assemble my own from parts but
it was a fun thing this morning around 2 when we finally made the decision
on Lady's fate. It truly helped me through the long morning hours. Thanks
to all even though you didn't know at the time. It did help immensely.

I don't need the double wide buddy seat now, but I'm sure she will be
watching to see who I end up putting in "her" seat in the GMC eventually.

We have to stop doing this, Sadie and I cannot stand the stress.

I have stopped complaining about her following me every step I take. I am
very sorry, I know what a big loss this is.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called rainbow Bridge. When an
animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet
goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our
special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of
food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and
vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The
animals are happy and content, except of one small thing; they each
miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly
stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His
eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly he begins to run from the
group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and
faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally
meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the
beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your
pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Ron,
Thanks specially for the "Rainbow Bridge." Lady belonged to our son who
rescued her from an abusing owner while she was a pup. He gave her to me
two weeks before he accidentally died so he was at the Rainbow Bridge
waiting for her. I feel certain that they go to heaven with us. What would
we do if we couldn't have our dogs with us? Not much.

Thanks again.
