The straight backs of the dinette do not fit my back. Our solution on our
23', which had the dinette behind the driver and in front of the big window
was:

Replaced the dinette with a coach that ran from the engine step to the rear
of the window. The back of the coach folds down and opens into a storage
area that goes all the way to the floor. This is 8" wide and three hangers
long and is our hanging locker. We use suitcase folding hangers to gain
another 4 inches in hanging height. It also stores the table top and post
that is used as a table in front of the coach. Under the coach are two
drawers [post removed to open drawers]. This concept opens up the coach when
the table is stored, which is most of the time for us. It also increases our
storage area.

We cover the table post "hole" with a throw rug.

Our primary eating area and card playing area is another post table between
the two captain chairs. But that is another solution. Our coach is primary
designed for just the two of us so the coach table is only used when the two
grandsons are traveling with us.

I did not know that, I am going out and try that.;>)
