On my last trip down south (to Williston ND) I noticed an amplified
antenna at Wal-Mart. I do not have a roof antenna for my radio so I was
contemplating picking one up for when I purchase a new/better cd player
to replace the old radio/8-track unit. It only stands a few inches above
the roof (or hood) depending on your application!
This unit was at Wal-Mart under the "Rally" brand name.
Item # 19600 priced at $ 20.00 US funds. (eh)
I do not know if it is a good unit or if it would work for our Gmc's,
but I am going to check it out on my next trip south.
They also had some #3 1/2 inch speakers. These were the "Road Gear"
brand and were 40 watt, dual cone priced at $6.96 each US funds.
They "look to be a bolt in replacement for the front stock units.
Perhaps the people looking for speakers will want to check them out and
report back to us.
