Alternate to awnings

We chose a screen room rather than an awning. It has an advantage with
keeping the bugs out of our lives and off the table when we are cooking and
eating outside. We had a awning on our SOB and only used it a few times in
the seven years that we had it. Others use their awnings a lot because they
stay in one spot more than we do. We normally sit in the shadow of the GMC
after travel hours or hiking. We also make an effort to stay in places that
have trees to sit under.

We leave the screen room at home unless we know we are going to stay in one
spot for some time. It folds into a box which we place on the bed when we
travel. We have a 23 and do not tow so we use the GMC to travel around. We
leave the screen room set up over the park table while we "tourist" an area.
Cost less than $100 at Wall-mart.

If you are undecided that you will use an awning, this is a rather
inexpensive way to find out if you will use it. We prefer the screen room.
