ARch I am going to defend Alex since I think I know what the problem is and
had the same problem you are having. I hope Alex is not offended by what I
say. I visited with him and his wife Ramona for some time, talking about
the GMC business at one of the last GMC Heritage Cruiser rallies. He came
from Florida to NY with some other Sunshine Statesman members. Drove up in
a 1988 Newell (sure was nice).
I asked him directly why there was such a long wait for a response to my
e-mail to his business. It was a matter of which flames were highest and
which to put out first. He told me that he had a small stroke a short time
ago and his memory is not quite as sharp as it was (he sure fooled me). In
addition he was in the process of moving the business to a new location and
had tons and tons of parts to move, much new business and was thoroughly
overloaded. Hoever in spite of all of this he just had to take a vacation
however and left his son Jeff in charge. That was undoubtably why they got
further behind.
He may be slow to change but he will. Please give him the benefit of the
doubt. A small business is tough today, and if you don't believe it ask Jim
bounds for instance. i thoroughly liked Alex he is a great person to talk
to. My rottweiler Boomer also liked him and that is the acid test.
Just another opinion.
