Alert Panel- Max Temps

Brent--
Many thanks for the input on desirable temperature warning points. I am
collecting "opinions" from across the net. I'll keep you all posted.

Thrown into the pot....
I hope to have some frontwheel air temps soon, courtesy of SmarTire
monitors. Don't know how usefull they'll be. I'm also waiting on WesTach to
get back to me with some sensors for the AV-10 that I'll putty-steel to the
hubs. Temps may not be accurate but rates of temp at various speeds etc
might be. (I log full time via the AV-10)

Best I have sofar for the front is 145 degrees after stopping and it's
pretty constant around the wheel itself (Alcoa) in the center and the
outside of hub and inside at nut area.

This was take recently as I made my way down the Sea to Sky highway. Lots of
brake use as grades were 10-15% in many places. Will have a highway run
after Labor Day on next trip to Bakersfield.

Brent, have you thought of designing your "Alert Panel" to include the
lights that are in the GMC dash, and then size your panel to replace it in
the existing location? The design of the original is not very sturdy, and
replacement parts are difficult or impossible to find.

Hi Scott!

Sorry for the confusion, its Gary Miller thetas designing the alert panels.
My email program didn't seem to remember to make the quoted parts of the
post clear with indents, and it appeared that I was the originator- which
Gary is in actual fact- I apologize for the confusion this caused, its what
I get for hitting 'send' before my brain is in gear!

Replacing the "idiot light" OEM panel with several dozen useful bits of
information relative to temperatures thorughout the coach is not a bad idea
- -- in fact it is a good idea and I will add it to my treasured "collection"
from you all. Keep the ideas coming!
