Just got a call from Osburn's RV in Albuquerque. He said there was a
recall on all Alcoa Wheels before and around 1996. Just a flash for you
to check. If your's are old, you might want to check further. I just
wanted to pass this on to the group.

I am looking at a GMC that has new (still unmounted) Alcoas and tires. I
have no idea what the manufacturing date of the wheels is but they are
several years old.

Has anyone found out any difinitive information on this recall rumor?

Thanks

I was on the phone Friday to Wes Caughlin at Cinnabar on some other topics
and asked him about this rumor. Wes gets notices both through Cinnabar and
Motorhome magazine. He told me that there are no recalls that he is aware
of. Given that Cinnabar consults closely with Alcoa on a number of topics
I'd expect them to be fully aware of any change in status.

Not a guarantee, but short of calling Alcoa I'd guess that it's just
another rumor.
