Whoooa Arch, that's a lot of money for an air compressor, I damn near
fainted. This is my solution to the problematic small air compressor on my
GMC. I replaced it three times in as many years and at $240.00 a pop, I got
disgusted. All the lines , hardware and last broken pump is still installed
on the coach. I disconnected the air lines at each air bag and installed
schrader valves. Went to Lowe's hardware and bought a small DeVilbiss air
compressor, 1.5 h.p. with a 3 gal. hotdog tank. Pumps up to 125 p.s.i., it
weighs about 25 lbs., I carry it in the trunk of my toad or in the bench
seat storage area. Did that about 6 years ago. I'm one of the few GMC
owners I've talked to that has had lousy luck with the small air
compressors. I run with 75 lbs. in the passenger side air bag and 80 lbs.
in the driver side air bag.
