Chip,

The only thing I know of that will work is an air cleaner off a Toronado
through 1978. Only problem is that the Toro air cleaner will be about 1/2
inch higher than the original motorhome air cleaner and will interfere with
the rear of the engine cover. You can use a router to remove about 1/4 inch
of wood only where it hits the air cleaner or get one of Darren's neat
aluminum engine covers.

Somewhere in the geneaology of my coach the PO removed the stock air cleaner
and replaced it with a simple aftermarket filter with a cover. There is no
engine preheat, PCV or the typical components of the stock air cleaner. The
preheat shroud over the left manifold is also missing. I will be making a
trip to the local automobile part recycling facility (AKA junkyard) this
weekend. What should I look for? Will a standard air cleaner for any GM
auto/truck from that erea work? How about the preheat shroud?

The flat cover, I now have, gives you that extra room you need to do this. No
routers involved. Darren
