air bag pressure

The P.O. of my coach removed the auto control for the air bags.. I must use
it before i can get it restored..Can someone please tell me the proper
inflation pressure when on the road.. Thanks Pat Morrison.... Off the
blocks and won't be long

Walter,
I've heard that about 80 psi is a good start. Why not just pump them up
until you get the recommended ride height. Confirm in your maintenance
manual, but IIRC you should have about 11 3/4" between the ground and the
measuring holes in the rear frame when setting on level ground.

Walter, My coach is a '73 model that I have owned for 11 years. I do not
have an on board operable air compressor, I have schrader valve's on my air
bags and run 75 lbs. on the right side and 80 lbs. on the left side. The
difference in lbs. is for the added weight of the Onan. I carry a small 110
volt air compressor in the trunk of my "toe" car.

The pressure it takes to level the rear of the coach is determined by
the weight at each rear wheel. I would suggest leveling the rear to the
11 11/16" that is shown in the manual. I would then measure the distance
from the top of the wheelwell to the ground. ( ours measures 331/8")
Then you add air till you get to the wheelwell to ground measurement.
