AC Compressor

I just lost my compressor during a trip through the desert.
Temperatures were over 116 and it was hotttttttt.... came back and the
folks here put in a new delco and said it was the best change to make.
I thought of going to 134 but he said to stay with R12. Lower head
pressures and better cooling... since I am stupid about freon I went
with their recommendations.

coming from these days. BTW, after 2 years service my ALMA A6 is leaking
oil
from the seal on the pulley shaft. My A/C knowledgeable friend says that's
always been a problem with these compressors ---new, rebuilt or otherwise.
That's all I know for now.

Phil,
I had and instructor at school tell us that you should run your AC every
so often to keep the seals moist. I run all my vehicles and the house like
he suggested even on warmer winter days for a few mins. Had to finally add
a pound of freon to my '90 Honda this year. Alot of the new cars do this
when the defroster is on.
Seems to work for me...
