The parole officer (spouse) has decided that a toad is required. She likes
the Tracker/Samuri for the auto, PS/PB, air, etc.
I would like a Jeep. I know a number of you have had good luck with the
Trackers. Anyone have any experience pulling a Jeep behind a GMC? Any reply
would be appreciated as I plan to complete a purchase in the next couple of
weeks.

Stephen,
We tow a 91 GEO Tracker behind the GMC. I have the 4 WD with 5 speed
tranny, At 2275# it's hard to know its back there. The Jeep it going to
be considerably heavier and will require aux. braking and will hurt the
fuel mileage alot more. The rule of thumb is lighter is better with the
GMC. You can tow almost anything if you want it is your choice.

I have and tow both a Jeep Wrangler and a 94 Geo Tracker. I've had good
luck with the Wrangler on flat terrain, but it's quite a pull on any long
grade. My Tracker is almost 1200 pounds lighter, and definitely a much
easier tow. I'm running a 403 with 3.07 final drive. I plan to install a
3.55 this Spring, but will probably still tow the Tracker if we're going to
do much hill work.

Steve Corder, I know folks who tow a Jeep without problems (so far) but I
am skeptical about the effect on the Coach's drive train long term.

Whatever you do I suggest a brake system for the toad as the GM brakes
will be straining to stop both the coach and a heavy toad.

That's what I would do.
