Going to California
We lived in the San Francisco Bay area for almost 10 years. In fact we
still own a home in Concord which is about 25 mi directly east of SFO.
We go back every few months and have a hard time returning.
We are partial to northern ca. In the Bay area you have SFO which I
believe is still the USAs number one tourist city. Napa Valley and
great wines take a trailer, the mountains with all those ghost towns,
Gold Country, in Sacramento there is a fantastic train museum.
Up north it only gets prettier. When we lived in SFO we were within 4
hours of anything you could wand to do from ocean beaches, mountains,
gambling, hiking, and on and on.
We loved South Lake Tahoe, and a trip from their through Silver City,
Carson City and then the high dessert is fabulous.
There used to be a great train ride from SFO to Reno. A lot of fun.
It just doesn't stop. I would call the bureau of tourism and check out
the net.
Wish we were going.
