Just returned from a 6000 mile first trip with my 1973 Canyon Lands,
from Ontario to British Columbia. Great trip except for a major
radiator leak in Calgary .... and thats when I found out the value of
the "LIST" (Rodger Blacks list). Checked my list, found Darren Paget.
Darren gave me directions to a great rad shop ( they recored the
original rad, took seven hours and $750, but worth it.. While I was
parked the previous evening at a nearby GM dealer Darren had gone to my
motorhome (by then I was in a hotel) and leaft a message, he had checked
out another shop and made an appoinment incase the first one could not
do the job. Thanks very much Darren we never met face to face but I owe
you one. As a new comer my two cents worth of advice ... get your name
on the list it is good insurance and you may make some new friends. On
the way back, on the States side, I dropped in to Cinnabar, Ivan
Henderson gave me a tour of their great facilities, now saving my money
to return there for a 3.42 final drive drive I enjoy reading the Web
and looking forward to my first rally. Regards from Elora Ontario. John
