Cautionary only because I didn't have time to take it out on the highway so
45 was max speed during a test drive (finally) into town.

However, it felt great !!!

I don't have any scientific data, just seat of the pants feeling.

The steering is solid and firm yet only needs a very light touch to do what
I want. Don't ask me to explain.
I can hardly wait for for the freeway.

I replaced box and shaft with the units from Caspro.
Flushed the system thoroughly before putting the hoses back to new pump. The
installation also includes a 'real' power steering filter in the return
line. Steering wheel stayed to within 3/4 inch of where it was.

A note of caution. The Caspro unit includes a specially fabricated adapter
for the hi-pressure side, i.e. the steering box uses a what I assume is a
more current fitting and this is an adapter from new to old. Anyways, I had
trouble getting it tight with a regular wrench. A proper flare wrench did
the trick.

Here's hoping that the snow will stay off the passes for a while yet.
