I am in the process of purchasing a 78 Royale. Would appreciate info on
follwing topics.

1. Paint appears to be original and not too bad. Decals are pretty
sad. Is there a way to remove decals without harming paint?

2. Does anyone have enough knowledge to recomend a good service shop
for chassis in Dallas Fort-Worth area? ..... Same for interior
restoration??

Thanks for all the technical discussion.

Al:

For what it's worth to you, I have a 78 Royale and took off the Royale
labels under the slider windows on the driver and passenger sides
because I thought they were too much. I believe the recommended way to
remove the labels is with a hair dryer/heat gun. However, we were able
to peel ours off by hand.

Since I live in Michigan, I'm not the one to recommend anyone in TX for
service, however there are many TX owners who should be able to help
you.

A good mechanic for the GMC Motorhomes is located in Casteel, Texas. His
first name is Dale. He runs the Sunshine General Store in Casteel. His
phone number is 915 247-3616. I know he does excellent work on engines,
transmissions, suspension, and exhaust systems. He owns a GMC himself. He
has done front bearing replacement and installed Doug Thorley headers and a
complete exhaust system on my coach.

OOPS! I misspelled the town. It is Castell, Texas instead of Casteel,
Texas. Sorry, that is why I use a spell checker but it didn't flag that
one.

Al,
If you will call me Monday on my toll free # (1-877-275-4462) I will get
you in touch with customers and shops in your area that do business with
me. As far as the interior restoration goes, I'm in Orlando Florida and
would be happy to talk with you about your coach.

Let me know if I can help.

Dave Greenburg, why don't you get his serial # and give him any history
you have on the coach.
