My wife and I are shopping for a GMC coach. Saw a '77 Royale in the
Thrifty Nickel yesterday. The owner said it has a rear bath with a small
tub. Is this what's refered to as a 'dry bath'? And does anyone know
where I might view a floorplan of this coach?

Thanks

Bill,
This is not what was caled a dry bath, although is actually would be. A dry
bath had a separate shower stall, most of the baths just had a shower head in
the bath compartment and when you showered the toilet would get wet. The lav
and door usually had curtains to keep them dry. The September 1998 issue of
GMCMM had all of the known original manufacture floor plans in it and is
still available as a back issue.

Bill,
The "dry bath" to me is a great improvement over the majority of the GMC
floor plans. The one you (probably) are looking at is shown on
home page, click on "frequently Asked Questions", then on
floor plans for "23 foot, Coachman, and Midas". You will find the floior
plan next to the bottom on the right, "Coachman 26' rear bath/tub". only
shortcoming of this plan is that the couch when made into a bed virtually
eliminates walking around.

I'll bet you're right ! I'd looked at those pages but just imagined that
since the label 'Coachman' was put on those on the right, that they weren't
true GMC's. (Transmodes? I've seen one 23 footer with the label 'Cooper'

Do you know if the bed makes all the way across the coach? Would one sleep
across or 'with' the length?

Thanks for your help. We're definitely going to have to go check this one out.

I went looked at this coach yesterday and would like some of your expert
opinions. I wasn't very impressed with the paint but the rest of it
impressed me as a well kept and maintained piece of equipment.

I know I'm tapped into the most informed group on the subject and value
your opinion highly. All cannot be assessed by pictures alone, but with
the information provided please tell me what you think of it and what you
think it should cost.
