Gentlemen,

Next week I am installing my 2nd 4 air bag system and truly believe it
is the wave of the future.

Paul, why don't you discuss what you thought about your system since you
were the one who turned me on the the unit origionally?

>From the first roll of the wheels, I found a whole new suspension feel
for the GMC. No roll, no tracking groovs, and no favoring the side of
the road! The thing drove like my wifes mini van!

Take into consideration that Firestone has stated that the tool to make
our 2 sided bag is in need of repair and the fact that our bag cannot be
made on the new air bag assembly line points to a new design for our
suspension.

Look, I get nothing from promoting this system but I will tell you that
everyone should consider installing the kit! What else can I say...

Everones comments are welcome.

Jim:

I note you start out with "Gentlemen". Occasionally, I note e-mail from
the other gender!

Now, to address your request, I have previously expounded a number of
times on the advantages of the four air-bag system.

First let me say that the only negative I know about it is a slightly
restricted maximum travel distance of the suspension, supposedly on the
order of an inch or less. That isn't anything I've found to be a
problem, however.

Some of the noticeable benefits I found are:

a. A reduction of about 60% of the wiggle traversing rutted asphalt
paving that I previously experienced.

b. A much more stable ride in that the fore-to-aft and side-to-side
movement was dampened, which stabilized the effects of running off the
edge of paved roads and onto shoulders.

c. It eliminated a tendency for the coach to bottom out when going
over railroad track crossings.

d. Independent suspension for each rear wheel.

e. A doubling of the rear-rear axle spring rate from approximately
415 psi to 820 psi.

To all of those who had requested more info on the 4 air bag system, I
goofed up! I was in the middle of sifting through all of those Emails
last night and all I can figure is my son picked up the cordless phone
and somehow knocked me off line. Whats worse I lost ALL my return mail
info!

Man, what a let down. Bear with me, I'll try to retrieve the notes and
get them out tonight. I have my net access at home.

Basically, the system will hold up to all the investigations everyone
would like to do and I would be pleased to talk to you about it if you
would like to call on my toll free # today (1-877-275-4462).

Lee Harrison is the developer of the kit and, if you wish, you can talk
to him about his product, his phone # is in MHMP in the "suspension"
classifieds.

I'm still learning about how to work within the net, and last night was
one of those learning experiances! Well, gotta get to the shop now,
talk to all of you tonight.

Paul, how about giving me a call when you read this and help me figure
out where I screwed up last night!!
