p.s. Post a link to your AudioKarma posted work so we can take a look!
Here you go

It's the typical story of boy meets Motorhome

That thread started in May 2019, soooo......yea

I have had this coach for almost three years now and have been busy going through, cleaning and learning all the systems

All original flower-power Scooby-Doo interior
It even has the original awning with the contour uprights

I have posted all my work on AudioKarma but I am glad to find this forum to share
I love the original upholstery.

Don, checking out your build over on AudioKarma, been a member over there since 2017 but more of a lurker, lol. Love the build! good job!

Speaking of vintage stereo did you know Jim Bounds used to work for Toshiba? We were talking turntables for a while one day, don't remember how we got on the subject.

First, thanks for taking the time to check out my GMC experience thread on AK

Well, small world indeed

Yeah, I have talked to Jim Bounds a number of times and tried to get him to check out the AK thread on my GMC but, I don't know if he ever did

you have no idea how relieved I am to find this forum
It's like I have been shipwrecked on a deserted island trying to talk about GMC Motorhomes to a volleyball

This is the newer forum, the older forum is GMCnet, lots of daily post over there also, it is set up on email so you can email your questions and the forum would respond to the email.

GMCnet has been an invaluable resource in my quest for knowledge on the GMC, though I never emailed anyone

I always looked at it like wandering through a great ancient library
That was the "long ago" times

Don,
Scott is half correct.
GMCnet started as an old E-mail list and many old timers (not me) still use it that way. It is just as easy to sign on to the forum side. It still does not handle pictures well.
The situation is easy to understand, some years back I asked if all the members at an Eastern States meeting had an internet connection. Several did not. Not even dial-up. By this time, I thought of that as along with indoor plumbing. Many still are there as e-mail users. This is why a posting cannot be edited. Once it is posted, it is sent and the message will not be resent if changed. The e-mail client is also why it handled pictures so poorly. This is not a big issue as it means we have a picture warehouse that is always available.
There are some very senior owners over there two, and at last count, three original owners.
Matt

Love that awning, what brand is it?
i thought the zip dee was the only option
I can only assume it is original custom made for the GMC.
It contours to the shape of the coach

I have never seen another one
The fabric has been shortened one time.

Here you can see how nice and tight the awning stows

I don't know who made those awning arms, but curved, telescopic rectangular-ish aluminum tube can't be the easiest things to make. I consider that a heck of a feat. That awning alone has got to be quite valuable--it looks great right where it sits though. Nice coach all around.
