My unit is a 1976 Glen.my wiring diagram is like the one in the
supplement manual Model ZEO6581 December 1976

Has any one ventured into the Generator Receptacle located in the
compartment were the shore power exits. I checked mine yesterday and the
according to the picture the neutral is tied from the round pin to the
flat spade across from it. The L2 line connects to the other opposites,
from there they continue back and some were they make a connection with a
pair of #6 cables that go to the Gen. the wires at the Receptacle seem to
be #12 some were they are lugged together before they exit into the Gen
compartment. Thats my question were do they make the connection from #12
to #6

When making a test I only read a connection from one side of the
Receptacle back to the #6 cables I am wondering if they have come loose
some were?.

Thanks Gary 76 Glen. Duvall WA.

When plugged into a 30 amp or a 20 amp circuit, the adapter you use on
the
end of your power cord connects the two 120v. leads together at the
adapter.
Since they are tied together at the adapter, you still get 120 v service
at
each breaker but at a reduced available current level. This means that
it'll
be easier to trip a campground breaker if its 20 amp or 30 amp and you've
got
the air conditioner, battery charger, hot water heater, coffee pot,
toaster,
microwave, TV and margarita blender all running at the same time.

This is what I am talking about at the box I do see that there it is
capable of having 220 now when you patch in the shore cable to your Gen
the Gen does put out 120 I have that. But were does 120 make connection
to the 220 when I fire up my Gen I only get 120 on only one leg it gives
me power for example to the Hot water heater maybe some thing else on
that side but does not make the connection to the other side. So the Gen
is only making on one side and not both. Some were and not on the back
of the receptacle there has to be a connection so the Gen goes to both
sides. I may be wrong about the size of the wire but if one side is #12
and the other side is #12 then in truth if they are common to each other
that makes them #6 as they go back to the Gen which is putting out 120.
Now do you suppose that the connection is in the conduit? I wouldn't
think so. Now I am talking about the Gen to the receptacle not in the
Breaker box. The picture shows the cross over and the connection in the
120 receptacle the large black box in the side of the Coach in the small
compartment on the drivers side. Repeating so you know were I am.
