12 Volt TV's

Do any of you use 12 volt DC televisions in your rigs? If so, what are your thoughts? I'm toying with the idea, but have always had 120 volt AC TV's in my previous RV's.

I have bought (2) 12vdc TV sets. I am on a quest to remove as much ac wiring in the coach as possible. I have removed the old roof top ac units and replaced them with 12,000 bth 48 vdc mini splits which leaves me with 2 locations for drop down tv units.

This installation is the last of a long list of projects.
At this point, the only thing left using ac is the 3 in 1 microwave and the toaster oven. I have replaced the hot water heater with a tankless lpg hot water heater.

I went to best buy and looked for the lowest voltage flat-screen I could find and then purchased an "upconverter" on Amazon (a little puck) to transform 12v to 18v. I've been running that way for five years or so. The model TV I bought is no longer available, but the method should still work.

I bought (2) Jensen JTV19DC HD Ready 19-Inch LED TV's. This way I don't need any converters

I run a Techlast dual boot laptop (Win/Android) and use it to watch movies loaded on to a jump drive when out at the boonies, bluetoothin' it to a portable speaker. It's charges up fast through a USB port and lasts a long time, flat pack lithium batteries inside I guess. Never watch TV at home so not missing anything!!
