Unless you are adamant about doing it with Diesel...you could do a conversion for $60K in about three months.

I spent $5.40 today, but I drove past a station before it that was $5.80, so I felt good about it (in the relative sense, of course).

Andreas is in Germany where gas averages ~$9/gallon. Charging an EV at home is half that. I'd think that changes the calculations and motivation a fair bit.

Even after the feds removed the 10cents/litre tax temporarily, in Victoria BC still CAD 7.95/us gallon (US$5.75/gal)

As for @Andreas' plans, I'll admit I'm skeptical. We don't know his background/credentials and we haven't seen too many details. I suspect it'll be more challenging than expected and very expensive, though possibly less costly than buying some new RV junk. The difference is, I'm interested to see him go for it. It's his time and treasure on the line, and my hope is that we'll learn from his experience, successful or not. Onward to the build!
